Washington: After the continuous attacks by America and Israel, the rhetoric between Iran and America has become more intense. Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) clearly said on Tuesday that the decision on when and how the war will end is that of Tehran, not Washington. This reply came when Donald Trump again gave a stern warning to Iran. The movement of oil through the Strait of Hormuz has come to a near halt, causing oil prices to skyrocket around the world.

Has Iran threatened to stop oil supply?

The IRGC spokesperson told state media that if US-Israeli attacks do not stop, not a single liter of oil will go out of the Gulf region. "The security of this area will be for everyone or no one," he said. The IRGC claims that they have complete control over Hormuz and can stop or target ships. Iran has already closed the strait, stopping tankers and launching attacks on ships – killing at least 7 sailors, according to the IMO.

What strict warning did Trump give to Iran?

Trump wrote on Truth Social that if Iran tried to stop the flow of oil from Hormuz, the United States would attack "20 times more powerfully." He said that if necessary, such targets will be destroyed, which can be easily attacked. Trump expressed hope that the situation will not worsen so much, but the US Navy is ready to escort the tankers. He told shipowners to "show guts" and keep passing through Hormuz, as Iran's navy was decimated.

Will US military operations still continue?

Trump said Monday that "Operation Epic Fury" against Iran is going faster than planned and could end sooner. He claimed that Iran's drone-launching capability has been reduced by 73-83 percent, ballistic missile launchers have been destroyed by 80-86 percent. The US Army is now targeting Iran's drone and missile factories so that it cannot gather strength again. Trump says the war is "short-term" and that Iran will be "totally defeated."

Were oil depots attacked in Tehran?

Israel attacked several oil depots and petroleum centers in Tehran and the surrounding Alborz province – such as Shahran, Aghdasiyeh, Karaj and the Tehran refinery. These attacks caused huge fires, spread black smoke and increased pollution in the city. Four to six people were killed, many injured. Israel says that these depots were for the military use of IRGC.

How big is the danger of toxic rain?

Iran's Red Crescent Society warned that toxic chemicals (hydrocarbons, sulfur, nitrogen oxides) released from the burning depot could form "toxic acid rain" if it rained. This can cause skin burns, lung damage and shortness of breath. Black rain is falling in Tehran, people are complaining of burning sensation in their eyes and throat. Officials have said to not go out, stay at home and keep the air conditioner off.

Is Iran ready for a long war?

Iranian officials are saying that the country is ready for a long conflict. The IRGC claimed to have large stocks of ballistic-cruise missiles, drones and weapons. If needed, we can continue the intense war for at least six months and will also use new long-range missiles.

How much damage has been done so far?

According to Iran's Red Crescent, the attacks have killed more than 1,300 people (mostly civilians), destroying thousands of buildings and facilities. Iran says more than 6,000 civilian sites were affected. This war is no longer just limited to the Middle East – it is having a deep impact on the global oil market, inflation and international politics. There is a possibility of the situation worsening further.
